I am very honoured to be writing our first board talk for the new website of InterSECtion. I truly hope the website will be viewed by you many, many times. My special thanks goes out to Miranda for making this website in such a short time.
As many of you will know, Melisa, Miranda, Jeff and I will be the board of InterSECtion for the year 2009-2010. Melisa will be replaced with Jeff after the first semester. The function division is as followed:

We believe that we can take InterSECtion to a new level and develop even more activities for you. We want to provide you with a network and give you the opportunity to explore the SEC field (through i.e. field trips). But next to study related activities we also want to organise more social gatherings (borrels, diners, etc). One in particular is the Sinterklaas, which will be held on the 8thof December.
As we said we want to be there for the SEC students, we will be in our room A005 at specific times(we will plan these later). In our room you can come to study, ask advice, look at the Selexyz library or just have a cup of coffee or tea with us.
Quite clear is, that we are quite ambitious, but most activities cannot be organised without your interest and sometimes your help. Therefore we would like to set up committees. We are thinking about a borrel/dinner committee, a yearbook committee and maybe an acquisition(sponsor)committee. If you are interested in any of these committees, please let us know at board@sa-intersection.nl
I would like to leave off with inviting you to our borrel at 13th of October to enjoy a drink and a snack with us!
